Today, an area with the highest production of white corn or corn for export, we continue walking and ascend to the Pukamarca pass (4200 m / 13,799,527 feet) that dominates the town with the same name and opens our way to the beautiful Leon canyon Punku, prelude to our destiny. In this place we will take a short rest and taste a box lunch and then continue along an original Inca trail, which has been restored as part of the Qapacñan Project.  The weather in this region is unpredictable, where it can change frequently at any time of the year, having all the seasons of the year in a single day with very cold, wind, snow, rain and sun. Hikers should be prepared with the proper gear and be prepared for varying weather conditions throughout the day. However, the Cusco region has 2 marked seasons, the rainy season (September-April) and the dry season (May-August).
