El Trek de Huchuy Qosqo es una de las caminatas más cortas, pero no menos interesantes en los alrededores de la capital de los incas la ciudad del Cusco.
Huchuy Qosqo cuyo nombre proviene de la lengua quechua que significa el pequeño Cusco, elevado 3,600 m.s.n.m, en la comunidad campesina del mismo nombre, se atribuye su construcción al octavo Inca Wiracocha para su residencia; grupo arqueológico ubicado sobre la cuenca del rio Urubamba (Vilcanota) al norte de la ciudad de Cusco, desde donde se puede apreciar el Valle Sagrado de los incas, el actual poblado de Calca y el imponente nevado Pitusiray. Ruta de caminata o senderismo muy bello donde se puede apreciar y visitar comunidades campesinas y centros arqueológicos a lo largo de la ruta. Recomendado para los visitantes que disponen de tiempo limitado pero que les gustaría hacer una excursión en los Andes Peruanos.

Pick up from the hotel at 5:00 am, we travel by car for a time of 60 minutes to the community of Patabamba, where we will have our breakfast and then start our walk, this will be a day full of scenic and cultural experiences, we will pass by the small town of Sihuas and we continue along a path bordering one of the imposing mountains, to later be welcomed by the balcony of the valley, a name acquired for its location, from we can have impressive views of the Sacred Valley of the Inca, a place that thanks to the fertility of their lands were economic support in ancient times. Today, an area with the highest production of white corn or corn for export, we continue walking and ascend to the Pukamarca pass (4200 m / 13,799,527 feet) that dominates the town with the same name and opens our way to the beautiful Leon canyon Punku, prelude to our destiny. In this place we will take a short rest and taste a box lunch and then continue along an original Inca trail, which has been restored as part of the Qapacñan Project. This trail will take you to the isolated and mysterious Inca site of Huchuy Qosqo (little Cusco) perched on a small plateau above the Sacred Valley of the Incas at 3600m / 11,811.02364ft. Once at the site, our guide will show you all the incredible Inca buildings on the site, such as sacred temples, warehouses, terraces used in agriculture, and the Inca reservoir used to store water during the dry season.
After a guided tour, we will begin our 1.30 hour walk downhill to the town of Lamay in the Sacred Valley where our transport awaits us that will take us back to the hotel in the city of Cusco, travel time 1 hour.
